AIIMS New Delhi is the most prestigious medical institution in India, established in 1956. It is an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. AIIMS offers MBBS, MD, MS, MCh, DM, and PhD programs. The institute is ranked #1 among medical colleges in India by NIRF consecutively. AIIMS conducts its own entrance exam (AIIMS MBBS) for UG admissions, but from 2020, NEET is the only exam for MBBS admissions.
